FAQ
How do I determine the offset of my chainring?
Chainring offset refers to the distance between the centerline of the chainring and the plane on which it rests.
If the offset is not printed on the chainring, you can measure it manually. Lay the chainring on an even surface with the teeth facing up. Then, using a tape measure, measure the distance from this plane to the centerline of the chainring. This measurement will give you the offset value.
Usually is 0mm / 3mm or / 6mm
All the Ochain replicate the 3mm offset, if you need a 6mm or greater offset you can take our Adjust kit you can find in the store.
Why doesn't my Ochain come back properly?
If your Ochain isn't returning properly, it's typically due to the orientation of the black pads pointing towards the inner component of the Ochain. This misalignment can hinder the smooth movement of the Ochain mechanism.
In case adjusting the black pads doesn't resolve the issue, you should inspect them for thickness and wear. Excessive wear can impede the Ochain's movement and necessitate replacement.
If you find that the black pads are worn, it's recommended to perform a service on your Ochain. Our service kit contains all the necessary components to restore your Ochain to optimal condition.
What is the right Ochain for my bike?
You can determine the right Ochain for you by following two simple steps:
-Select your crankset / engine model during purchase.
-Check if your chainring offset is 3mm or if you need the adjust kit to increase the ochain offset to 6mm or more
How much should I tighten the nuts and screws on my Ochain?
The tightening specifications for nuts and screws on your Ochain depend on the specific model. Here's a breakdown:
Ochain-R:
Nuts: Tighten to 5Nm.
Screws: Tighten from 3.5Nm up to 4.5Nm.
Ochain-E:
Nut: Tighten to 5Nm.
Screws: Tighten from 4Nm up to 4.5Nm.
Ochain-R4:
